Kristyn's Photography
For this assignment I chose my dog, Gizmo, to be the subject of my photos. My dog is very, very, very lazy and is constantly sleeping, so I figured I'd capture him sleeping for the majority of the photos.  For two of the poses, Gizmo is alert and on the lookout for his greatest fear, the vacuum. In the other four pictures, he is laying down, tired, and just looking to get some rest. I tried to capture a few different angles, but it was difficult because there were distracting backgrounds that I had to take into consideration. Most try to capture his face and where he spends most of his time, which is in his bed. A couple of the pictures had a blue blanket that took away from the subject, so I tried to crop it out as best as I could. I also converted two of the photos into greyscale and sepia tone to disperse the background colors. I feel like I captured my subject very well. I would have liked if I had the time, to take more without the blankets and such to focus more on him, but I feel as if the cropping and tone convering did a good job.
